I couldn't find a marinating container that fit a whole chicken. Not one that was shallow enough to actually work, stackable enough to fit in my fridge, and built to go straight into the oven after. So I made one.

I tested a lot of samples to get here. I tried silicone bags that smelled after one use, giant bowls that tipped over in the fridge, containers with bad seals and ugly dials on the lid. None of them did the job the way I wanted it done.

This one does.

It's shallow enough that your marinade covers the entire protein - not just the bottom half. The airtight silicone-sealed lid keeps everything contained for as long as you need it. Marinate overnight. The seal holds. Pull the lid off and go straight into the oven at up to 446°F. No transfer, no second pan, no extra cleanup.

It fits a 4lb whole chicken. We tested it. That was the requirement that drove the whole product - if it couldn't fit a whole chicken flat in the fridge, it wasn't the right container. This one passes.

When you're not marinating, use it for large batch meal prep, big freezer portions, or anything that needs serious storage space. Because it's stainless steel, nothing sticks, nothing stains, and nothing smells, no matter what went in it last time.

It stacks flat on a standard fridge shelf without rearranging everything else around it. If you're prepping multiple proteins, the medium and large stack together cleanly.

All three Tend Kitchen container sizes share the same lid. Large, medium, and small - lids are interchangeable. One less thing to think about.

Why stainless steel:
SS304 stainless steel is non-reactive with acidic marinades - citrus, vinegar, wine. It doesn't absorb odors or stain. It's FDA-certified food contact safe. It's the right material for the job. And unlike silicone or plastic, it doesn't degrade over time. One container that outlasts everything else in your kitchen drawer.

The detail that matters:
Most containers marketed for food storage aren't actually designed for marinating. The depth is wrong, the seal isn't tested for liquid, and they're not built to go from fridge to oven. This one was designed specifically for that workflow, from the dimensions to the lid to the steel grade.
